  Special Fitness Boot Camps! THE AMAZING RACE! *Pink Style Phoenix, AZ - Jan. 21, 2012 Orange County, CA - Feb. 4, 2012 The popular television reality show, The Amazing Race, has inspired Christina Lucy, founder of Code Pink Boot Camp to create a smaller version of this race as an event to benefit the Phoenix and Orange County Rescue Mission. PHOENIX, AZ - On Saturday January 21st, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. teams of two will meet at the Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix for a very fun event where they will be challenged with both mental and physical tasks. As an entry fee, participants will bring a bag of groceries which will be donated to the Phoenix Rescue Mission. Then the teams will be given tasks to complete which may take them through an obstacle course in the Arizona Center's Courtyard, or complete a mind game, this continues until all tasks have been completed. The winning team will win a Goodie Bag filled with great gifts along with a Gift Certificate for a full unlimited session of Code Pink Boot Camp. TUSTIN, CA - On February 4th, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. � 10:00 a.m. teams of two will meet at The District near the stage behind Borders with their entry fee of a bag of groceries. They will be sent to do various tasks and encounter a few detours. Some of the activities are physical like going through an obstacle course, some of them are mental and a little logic is needed. Teams can be husband /wife, best friends, mother/son, whomever wants to participate may do so by registering. Kimberly Daskas, Marketing Director for The District Tustin Legacy is now for the third year sponsoring Code Pink Boot Camp in this event. The District at Tustin Legacy is a one million square foot open-air lifestyle and entertainment shopping center located on the northwest corner of Jamboree Road and Barranca Parkway in Tustin and represents the retail portion of the master planned Tustin Legacy. The District features outdoor fireplaces, pop-jet fountains, giant video walls, a performance stage, shaded walkways, lush landscaping throughout. Christina Lucy of Code Pink Boot Camp said, �There are people right here in Orange County that don�t have homes and don�t have anything to eat. Sometimes we think the reason people are in this position is because they are addicted to drugs, or involved in criminal activity and can�t make good decisions. Yes, that is the case for some. For many though, it is an innocent plot of circumstances where jobs are lost and homes are taken. Many people have no family to take them in and have no place to go. The OC Rescue Mission is there to help where they can. But there are so many people now in need that they turn away sometimes hundreds of people because they have run out of meals to provide.
